Savannah Outen – No Place Like Here
You might have seen Savannah singing “No Place Like Here” in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
If you missed it here is her video for “No Place Like Here” which you can now see at restaurants nationwide this Friday!
About Savannah:
Savannah Outen was born on October 14th, 1992. At an early age, Savannah started to perform. She was asked to sing the National Anthem at various sporting events and later on she made it to the finals of America’s Best New Talent. In March 2007, she started to post YouTube videos of herself singing popular cover songs of that time, in front of her white closet. The first video she posted was of her singing Listen from the movie Dreamgirls. Soon after, viewers began requesting songs for Savannah to post. She covered everything from Miley Cyrus to The Beatles. In the fall of 2007, Savannah recorded the first song Goodbyes that she wrote during middle school graduation about her best friend. It was her debut single on Radio Disney, and stayed on the Top 30 Countdown for 18 weeks and peeked at number 5. This still holds the record for the highest charted song by an unsigned artist.
Celeste Kellogg – The Look
Check out the latest video from Celeste Kellogg – “The Look”.
More about Celeste:
Hi my name is Celeste and I’m a Actress, Songwriter and Nashville Recording Artist. Like many kids I started singing in my church and school choirs. It didn’t take long for me to realize this is what I wanted to do. So before I knew it, I was putting myself into every Musical and Talent Show I could find. A few years later I found where Radio Disney was holding auditions for a NEW Tween Pop Group called RD7. I auditioned for the group and lucky for me I made it. The year with Radio Disney was Amazing. We opened for Raven, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and the Cheetah Girls. It didn’t stop there, we also performed an hour long show at the Kelly Clarkson, Addicted To Love Tour.
When Radio Disney came to an end, I decided to start my own group called No Limit. The reason for the name? I wanted to send a message, “That if you work hard, stay true to yourself there is No Limit to what you can do” I would end each show with that statement. I had such a good time with No Limit, we performed in front on thousands each year, including a show on the Aircraft Carrier USS Eisenhower, wow what a treat. It was during my time with No Limit that the group got the attention of Grammy nominee Dave Moody of Elevating Entertainment, hence the movie “No Limit Kids: Much Ado About Middle School” was born and so was my love for acting. Not only was I a singer, choreographer and dancer, now I had become an Actress, and I loved it. I had also become a more of a songwriter…
Coming off the set of “No Limit Kids: Much Ado About Middle School”, I had so many emotions in me. I ended up writing 19 songs. Here are a few you may have heard of Handcuffed To Your Heart, Sophisticated Love Song, The Look and Looking In Your Eyes, they’re all on my debut CD, “This Is Where I Wanna Be”. My song “The Look” actually charted #20 in Germany – Thank You Germany. My music producer? Andrew Lane who I met in LA while attending the School of Pop. Drew is a Multi-Platinum producer with such credits as High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Back Street Boys to name a few. When it came time to record, Drew said “Nashville”. After all, it is where music is made.

Miggs – Interview from House of Blues in Dallas, TX
We caught up with the band Miggs at a stop at the House of Blues in Dallas. Here what they had to say about their latest album and tour.
More about Miggs:
MIGGS saw its fair share of the spotlight over the course of the years with the singles “Perfect” and “I Believe” reaching No. 66 and No. 82, respectively, on Billboard’s Hot AC chart and “I Believe” even pushing No. 7 on the Hot AC Media Base chart.
In 2009, the band landed a performance on “Good Morning America,” media accolades came their way and opening slots for everyone, including Duran Duran to Train, Matt Nathanson and Sister Hazel, seasoned their stage show. Music supervisors have included MIGGS’ unique brand of pop-rock in television, games and movies, such as the A&E’s documentary “Kurt Cobain,” MTV’s “Five Questions: Nick Jonas,” Fox’s “The O.C.,” Buena Vista video game “Spectrobes,” MTV’s “Bromance with Brody Jenner,” A&E’s “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” Disney’s “Fallen,” and Don even wrote the song for the Florida tourism campaign, “Share A Little Sunshine.”
“Growing our audience organically has always been the goal,” says Don. “If too many people jump on at once, the boat will sink. Remaining afloat was always key.” “Wide Awake” shows not only how far they’ve come, but also promises to keep the band sailing smoothly into the future.
AWOLNATION – Not Your Fault
The new video from AWOLNATION – “Not Your Fault” has some awesome effects and is worth the watch. It’s directed by the amazing Cameron “The Gatsby” Duddy.
Jason Derulo – Whatcha Say
I just love artists that sing their own names in their songs. Well, maybe I don’t love it because I have a long name that no one could fit in a song or make it sound respectable. But Jason Derulo does a good job of it.. here’s ”Whatcha Say”
Lenka – Heart Skips a Beat
Beautiful and talented – that’s Lenka and here is her video for Heart Skips a Beat.
More about Lenka:
Just before Lenka steps on stage to begin recording her video for her first single “The Show,” she makes a promise: “I want to write more songs about being in love. On album two you’ll hear more of those.”
It was 2008, and at the time, her self-titled debut album had yet to drop and there was a lot yet to come for the petite Australian singer, including a move to America, live appearances on Conan O’Brien and other late-night talk shows, and the celebratory moment when her album hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Oh…and there was also an engagement to James Gulliver Hancock, a visual artist with whom she’s shared many creative collaborations. So, this year, she makes good on her word and returns with Two, an album full of love songs.
But, as you’ll hear, not all of Two’s songs were all spun from lazy, romantic mornings. That’s because, thanks to the success of her debut, Lenka spent most of 2009 touring the world. She played intimate clubs and large festivals like Bumbershoot and Summer Sonic. And, while the stage wasn’t new territory for her – she’d previously fronted the indie band Decoder Ring and had acted professionally in her teenage years – traveling to 21 countries in ten months was eye-opening. “It was intense. Life is just so concentrated when you’re on the road. One day feels like a month.” She continues, “But, I’ve always been a little bit of a gypsy, so I do love it. I really wanted to get more out of it than just touring as a musician. I wanted to connect with people and almost pretend that I was just traveling, like backpacking or something to experience the different cultures.” She was impressed by many of the countries she was seeing for the first time on that tour, like Denmark, Japan, and Thailand, but it was her experience in Vietnam that really blew her away. “It’s rare for an artist to get the opportunity to perform in Vietnam, so I felt quite honored and lucky.”
Miggs – Let the Games Begin (featuring Lindsay Lohan)
Yes, that’s Lindsay Lohan in this video by Miggs… and Yes, this was one of her first gigs when she got released from house arrest. Sorry, we can’t post the pictures from her second gig after home confinement here – her Playboy pictures. We do try to keep things G or PG around here.
MIGGS has fully embraced the web’s ability to connect musicians with their fans more directly and can be followed at the most popular social networking sites on the web. The band even produced an eight-episode webisode/podcast called “Inside Wide Awake” that is available on iTunes and gives fans exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the making of their latest album and their life on the road as one of today’s most prolific rock bands.

Ellie Goulding – SXSW 2011 Interview
When we were at SXSW 2011 we interviewed LOTs of artists including Golden State, Kina Grannis, Lenka and Squint to name a few.
We also had the opportunity to interview Ellie Goulding.. check it out.
More about Ellie Goulding:
Having already conquered her native Britain with the biggest and fastest selling debut album of 2010, Lights– premiering at No. 1 on the U.K. album chart, four hit singles she co-wrote, and a BRIT award — singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is ready to make a similar splash in America with her sparkling electro-folk-pop sound. Lights is, as the New York Times put it, “a happy car crash of signifiers: part electro-pop, part soul, part blues, part indie rock, part folk” that mixes heartfelt emotion with other-worldly atmospherics. Anchoring her songs with acoustic guitar, Goulding and her producer, Starsmith, spin cool electronica into dreamy warmth on “Starry Eyed,” “Guns and Horses,” “The Writer,” and “Under the Sheets.”
